We’re about to release We’ve released a MailChimp Synchronization community extension for Magento. The extension has already been upload to MagentoConnect and it’s going through Magento’s approval proccess it’s available HERE.

Here are the release notes:

This module provides integration with MailChimp email marketing system using their integration API.

You only have to set up your MailChimp credentials and the MailChimp’s List ID you want to synchronize. Once setup, the module will keep your Magento Newsletter subscribers automatically synchronized with MailChimp.

A tool to make a Batch Synchronization is available on the  “Newsletter  / Subscribers” Admin page. This tool is meant to be used the first time you install the module, or, if for some reason the Mail List gets out of sync.

    Hi Kang,

Community Extensions installation is 100% handled by Magento, there are a few posts on MagentoConnect about errors like this. If you cannot find a solution when browsing the forums you might want to create a new post here http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewchild/14050/ .

Can you help me get a detailed step by step on the how to synchronize mailchimp with magento. the video did not really state how to it just gave a summary of benefits. Thanks need your help.

  4. ignacio Says:

Mary, the module is just as simple as entering your MailChimp credentials and the list you want the subscribers to be added to. After that all new subscribers will be added to that list.

  5. OKIZOO Says:

Is this compatible with Magento 1.4.0.1?

  6. ignacio Says:

OKIZOO, yes it is, contact us if you are experiencing issues. Thanks!

  7. Barry Says:

Can you please give me further detail on what the three flag options actually do.

  8. Pablo S. Benitez Says:

    Barry,

If you are refering to the options on the system configuration here is the explanation:

Send notify -> Flag to send the unsubscribe notification email to the address defined in the list email notification settings
Send goodbye -> Flag to send the goodbye email to the email address
Delete members -> Flag to completely delete the member from your list instead of just unsubscribing

Please let me know if this is what you need.

    Thanks
