Sage Pay Direct CE Release for Magento CE v1.4.1

Contact us for information regarding EE support

We are happy to announce the release of a new version of our popular Sage Pay Direct CE extension.

This version, 1.4.0, is intended to work on Magento 1.4.1+, so, for older Magento versions, please use v1.3.2.29 (http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/packages/module/163/protx-direct-payment-module#keyholder_7335)

Installation and Data migration steps

1.First of all, install this version on your Magento CE v1.4.0.1 (or previous version)

2.Run the Sage Pay Data Backup tool

3.Upgrade Magento to CE v1.4.1

4.After migrating Magento, run the Sage Pay Data Restore tool

We encourage you to install this version on a SAFE DEV/STAGING environment and test extensively before moving this change to live.

I am just testing on a staging website as I am upgrading from 1.3.2.4 to 1.5.1, I have used a fresh install of 1.5.1 and connected to a clone of the 1.3.2.4 database.. install all went well, so started to add the extensions that already had been installed in 1.3.2.4… it looks like the Sagepay Ext has had a big change :) as I am unable to open any orders that had this payment option..

I have installed your new Sage Pay Suite CE on the 1.5.1 magento (Looks great by the way, can’t wait to try it) but of course this seems unable to help in opening the orders with previous Sagepay payments… is there a solution?

    Many thanks

    Mark

Hi Mark, Yes, a lot of things have changed in the last 2 years, I encourage you to look for help in Magento forums, here http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewforum/32078 .
    Thanks for your feedback.

What’s the difference between the free version and the pro? Can payments still be accepted with the free version?

    Thanks.

  5. Pablo S. Benitez Says:

    Hi Simon,

The PRO version includes email and skype support and also includes additional operations such as REFUNDS, DEFERRED payments, AUTHENTICATE payments, etc.

Yes, you can take PAYMENTS with the free version.

  6. Simon Says:

Thanks Pablo. And how do you enable the free one in Magento, do you know? I’ve installed the extension but nothing has come up under payment options when I go to pay (I’ve also entered my storename that’s steup with Sagepay etc). I just want to test it out with a few orders before buying the full one.

    Thanks.

  7. Pablo S. Benitez Says:

You have to enable ecommerce section on the module configuration.
    Set Active to YES

  8. Simon Says:

Is that the server moto configuration? Sorry, I’m sure it’s very obvious!

  9. Pablo S. Benitez Says:

It depends on what integration you are trying to use.
MOTO settings are for backend orders.

  10. Simon Says:

I’m trying to integrate the free version into Magento 1.5 however can’t see any option for any details other than my vender name which I’ve done. Under Sage Pay Suite [Global] it seems like vendor is the only one I should customise but I don’t know. Need to change anything in regards to tokens?

Surely it should be displayed when people check out but so far nothing?

I want to test this out before purchasing the full version but just can’t see how to get it up and running. I expect I’m missing something obvious but it would be very helpful if there was a short document or some sort of instructions for installing and setting up. Thanks for your help Pablo.

Just so you know I managed to get it working. Turns out it was the form integration I needed. Thanks for your help Pablo :)

    Thanks for the update Simon.

    Regards.
